Having grew up in the 80s and 90s, He-Man was a huge part of my childhood. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was when I got a call from my agent at Harvey Voices stating that I was going to lend my voiceover talents to the newest incarnation of the franchise, Masters of the Universe (directed by Travis Knight).

In early April, I spent a few hours at the beautiful Warner Bros Studio De Lane Lea location in London recording ADR. I was barking out commands for King Randor’s troops, growls for evil henchmen, smooth talking radio announcers, and even got to lend my breath to Skeletor himself!

The movie came out in June and it was amazing to hear myself in multiple scenes, but more importantly, it was such a treat to see a truly faithful reincarnation of the characters I grew up with in the 80s. You could tell that every person that worked on this movie knew the assignment and were having a lot of fun! This movie wasn’t fan service, it was an appreciation of what the original material was. It treated it with respect, camp and all, and thus treated its fans with respect.

I can’t wait for the sequel!
